The use of glazed tiles as cladding is back from never-before. By gluing these tiles onto hard exterior insulation, they offer new architectural possibilities.
Porto-based renowned firm Correia/Ragazzi Arquitectos designed the Czech collection for tile manufacturer Viuva Lamego. This collection consists of 4 different relief tiles, 2 high and 2 low, of size 14x14x2.5cm. The idea of the Czech collection is to let architects combine these 4 tiles to create a unique façade design.
In the Portuguese tradition of azulejos, the tiles at Viuva Lamego are glazed by hand resulting in beautiful deep colours and shades. The Czech collection is available in all the colours Viuvo Lamego has in its catalogue, but custom colours are also an option.
The Czech collection is available in stoneware, which also makes them highly suitable as wall cladding. They meet EN ISO 10545 standards and comply with the recent recommendations around ETICS of the WTCB(Belgium).
